Ah yes it’s fantasy draft weekend and of course everyone wants to hear about the guys I am changing my mind on more and lowering now that they have already drafted! Still, I recommend paying attention to the following situations- even if they don’t sway you entirely.
Dak Prescott- Two of the changes on this list will be because of the surrounding offensive line. Dak no longer has Travis Fredrick at Center. We knew this since his retirement… BUT now he might be without right tackle Collins for the first three weeks of the year as he is put on short term IR. Mr. Prescott still has some amazing weapons in Cooper, Gallup and Lamb but if his O-line doesn’t hold up- I might worry short-term wise for him going into the season.
Jalen Raegor- He has a “small labrum tear” – I’m not a doctor, I do not know what that means. But if he is missing some sort of time- I might lean on taking a different flyer towards the ends of drafts and let someone pick him then drop him next week when they wonder why they picked him up to begin with.
Mike Williams- apparently a player I was willing to take a flyer on might not be able to play the first month of the season. I am not too keen on the Chargers offense already but if Williams was practically free he was worth a dart throw at a chance to have such a powerful receiver potentially bouncing back. Still miss watching him bully small DBs like he is on a totally different plain.
Miles Sanders- I know a lot of tape watchers, who saw Sanders’ early games last year, and hate his vision. I would 100% agree with them- but the last few games of the season I actually saw some improvement on the vision end. So, what’s the problem? A light injury that shouldn’t keep Miles out for the opener? Nope but I would monitor that. No my biggest worry with Miles is the Eagles offensive line might not be as good as it was last year. Brandon Brooks- their amazing guard went down with an Achilles injury earlier this offseason and now Andre Dillard is not gonna be playing left tackle for the Eagles since he tore his Bicep. Now the Eagles do have Jason Peters (their old left tackle) back playing right guard but he is refusing to play left tackle unless he gets a raise. Still the Eagles have three of their old stalwarts on the offensive line and I like what I saw from Sanders towards the end of the year. This just makes me feel a little queasy- I am actually shocked his ADP has him going ahead of where I have him in my rankings.
